Buy 2024 Ford Maverick or wait for the 2025 pickup truck
The Ford Maverick has been a game changer in the small truck category. No one competes and it shows with wait times on the pup truck. Spy photos of a potential 2025 Maverick keep popping up but little is known about the updates. Do you buy the 2024 Maverick or wait and see potential long wait times ordering the truck?

Atlas Blue I like looks awesome but I wish the Ford did not kill off Anti Matter Blue from the Bronco. That's a awesome color I saw that color on a Bronco when Ford came out with the vehicle. Michigan brought two Broncos to my local ford dealership and one had the Anti Matter Blue on it such a cool color my mom and I both like that color.

I really like my 2024 Maverick XL. Mine is cactus gray. It drives and handles great and is averaging between 28 and 29 miles per gallon. My only options were trailer hitch, full size spare, and rubber bed mat. At less than $25,000 dollars, I think it was a great buy. I waited 552 days to get it and received $1,000 private offer. Many people go for all the options and pay over $35,000 for the truck. Beware of the prices, since most do not include the $1,595 shipping fee when advertising.

Had a Lariat 2.0 AWD. Awesome vehicle. Sold it and bought a Bronco. Added another Maverick 2.0 XLT FWD back to the stable. Azure. Looks great. XLT is best trim for the money. Lariat is over priced. $40 tailgate lock is so the tailgate can’t be easily stolen. XLT tailgate has power lock.

Canoo will distroy the combustion car industry. 1) No engine maintenance end mechanics, costly garage repairs, oil changes, etc. A electric mot😢o😢r has few parts and is easy and inexpensive to change out. 2) It's like electric gaming meets Lego. Since it drives and breaks by wire, there is no real need for the standard brake and steering wheel. The vehicle allows them to be placed anywhere inside the vehicle on the standard skateboard frame. The Canoo is module, so the body fits together like playing with Legos, so it's easily pieced together making van, truck or passenger vehicle. 3) The Canoo charges overnight on home electric and is good for 200 miles driving on one charge. Drive to work, school, etcetera and run errands on a charge, then plugin when you get home. No long lines a t gas stations and fluctuating gas prices. 4) The problem is their CEO's. The present CEO, Tony Aquila, has investments in the automobile industry. Canoo could make those industry obsolete. There would be no need for auto parts stores, mechanics, oil and gas industry, etcetera. Cars would become collector's item. Canoo would end the work and expense of owning a vehicle. Does Tony Aquila really want Canoo in full production? 5) Canoo had to create the equipment used to build it and teach workers their operation. Canoo is built in the USA and all the parts and supplies are in the USA. No need for supplies from other countries or the difficult with getting those supplies. 6) If Canoo fails, in time someone else will make another attempt to change the transportation industry. Canoo was designed and is built for easy of use as well as construction. 0:02

I went with white, for several reasons. Don't get me wrong I like several other colors maybe even moreso. I just worked at a dealership and had different colors over the years which eventually the advantages of white showed itself. I can't tell you how many times people came in with trade-in that had faded. So it's usually not if your going to get bodywork but when. Also seen paint especially metal flake that didn't match is a other issue. Certain paint especially black is not only difficult to keep clean living on a dirt road but easily can get swirl marks. White I can touch without burning my hand easy to clean and hides some dust and dirt. Also if white reflects sunlight to stay cool to the touch it also keeps a lot of electrical wires and connections from the heat as well. The bad on white is what little rust usually stands out. Just thought I would comment on color which the video asks. Just for the record if going off road your chances of needing bodywork is increased significantly. Not just slipping to the side hitting a tree or obstacles but just going down a two track and brush scraping the side. Or hitting a stick and is thrown up hitting the side of the truck. So from my experiences or witnessing others dealing with imperfections with different colors, I opted for white. The FX4 is a good choice and a good bang for the buck looking at what is included with it. I also opted for the 4K tow and upsize on tires going from Perilli's scorpion p225 AT to Falken Wildpeaks p235 AT. Helps in stability, ground clearance and traction. It comes with different wheels than what's on the FX4 as well. Just want to add a few reasons for wanting a real spare tire or suggesting it. If you are carrying a load, remember it's a truck. The real tire should handle the extra weight better than a doughnut. Especially which you already mentioned you may not be near a place to repair the tire. In the old days gas stations were full service, now it's a rarity, just selling fuel and sometimes pop and beer. Lastly in a similar situation if your off road or even in deep snow the real spare tire should help or be better for traction than a doughnut. Before ordering what you want please check with your dealership. One make sure they have allocation and ask if anything your wanting will slow up getting a build date, or scheduled. When I ordered mine I dropped my tonneau cover and ended up ordering online. Another is remember Ford offers Ford pass and points for purchasing a Ford product those points can be used at your dealership post delivery.

I think your finger slipped on the building because if you look at the video (time stamp 6:03) you'll see that it says Advanced All Wheel Drive instead of the standard all wheel drive. I was able to get the standard version without adding a package to it. If I was shopping for a Maverick, I'd buy now and not have to worry about the refresh price increase.

Just need some people's thoughts and opinions. Looking to upgrade to a truck from a midsize SUV. The bed will come in handy as we work to renovate our house, and soon starting a family. At the moment have little towing needs (Jet Skis) and am tired of borrowing my in laws Ram. I do make decent money as a pharmacist, but that doesn't mean I just want to spend unnecessary money. I have been looking at the ranger (XLT Sport, with Tech/Tow Package) as it seems it has the styling I like and good back room in the back. I've also seen videos showing car seats and it seems fine. I'm 5'10" and wife is even shorter so won't be a problem. My only question is XLT F150's are around 52-55 as well. Is that worth the extra space/value? Am I crazy?

    • @AllTerrainNation

Had my RR just over a month and I've driven all of Padre Island, raced sand dunes in New Mexico, and even did Hell's Revenge in MOAB. Get out in this thing It's a jack of all trades. Although that 107 limiter really annoyed me passing with short passing zones. Still way better than the 4 bangers with other manufacturers. Poor truck has had a very hard first month of creation 😅. Still trying to get all the tar off the vehicle. Storms brought alot of tar onto the beach. Now I really want to trade my tundra in for a bronco but I still need to haul a trailer so maybe a RHO in the future? Try to take time next year and attend the Texas Raptor Run

It looks smoothed out and functional. I've heard the performance headlights are some of the best performing headlights in the business. How do you feel about them at night? They must be good to be able to drive fast in the wide open desert. The whole truck looks like a good blend of form/function which i perfer over the GM twins.

They didnt ask carriers who actually drive these things and the metris, promaster , etc.. any input on new vehicles. The reason why the current llv is still around, (im driving one right now) is because they are a good design for delivering. The size , the sliding doors, the great turning radius, etc..
